St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum and Lighthouse Archaeological Maritime Program (LAMP)

ST. AUGUSTINE LIGHTHOUSE

As you could see from the map, there is a lot of water, around St. Augustine.  Can you find the names of the different bodies of water around St. Augustine?  Water has always been essential for plants and animals and St. Augustine became the first permanent European Settlement because of its proximity to global shipping routes.

Generations of Maritime communities have lived in St. Augustine.

The view from the top of the Lighthouse is awesome in almost any weather.  It can get very windy up there so be careful.
