241 Years of Greek-American History

PHOTO OUTSIDE GREEK ORTHODOX SHRINE

St. Fotios Greek Orthodox National Shrine, 41 St. George Street (oldest street in America) was founded here in St. Augustine in 1768 by the first Greeks to settle in North America.

Greek-Americans in St. Augustine celebrate their precious cultural heritage in annual festivals and by opening their St. Fotios Greek Orthodox National Shrine to visitors.
